Research Scope:

1. Water pollution control technology and equipment

Study on oxidation and reduction process of POPs compound pollutants in water treatment by pulsed discharge plasma; development of emergency treatment technology and equipment for sudden environmental pollutants in drinking water source area based on hydroxyl radical produced by strong ionization discharge; research on advanced treatment technology and equipment of industrial oily wastewater; preparation, characterization and properties of Fenton like catalysts; flow field simulation and optimization design of water pollution control reactor and its key components; research on black and odorous water treatment and restoration technology.

2. Ecological restoration and engineering application of water environment

The ecological restoration technology and mechanism of degraded wetland/lake/river ecosystem; the ecological restoration engineering of degraded ecosystem; the remediation technology and mechanism of bionic plants on heavily polluted river; the influence process and mechanism of aquatic plants on nitrogen cycling in polluted water body.

3. Air pollution control technology and equipment

High efficiency electric capture technology and equipment for ultra-fine dust;control technology of flue gas desulfurization and denitrification by plasma resource;the toxic and harmful volatile organic compounds, ultra-fine particles and bacteria and viruses pollution control technology.

4. Solid waste treatment and recycling

Agricultural solid waste treatment and resource technology; sludge reduction and recycling technology;municipal solid waste treatment and recycling technology;harmless technology of solid waste.

5. Soil pollution remediation technology and land resource planning

Removal and transformation of POPs pollutants in soil; the rapid remediation technology of organic contaminated soil by electric/magnetic coupling technology, and the efficient remediation of heavy metal/organic compound contaminated soil by electromigration/hydroxyl radical; research and development of soil remediation equipment; the research and development of low impact remediation technology for agricultural contaminated soil; land use planning, land resources planning, land resources management, natural resources planning and management, sustainable development research, economic geography.
